Information
Our office hours are from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Dr. Benson performs most surgeries on Monday. Extended hours are available to accommodate your schedule. Dr. Benson is on-call for emergencies, but makes every effort to schedule his medical services between these hours.
We recognize the value of your time and will make every effort to maintain a schedule of appointments. If your scheduled visit must be delayed because of an emergency (surgery or delivery), we will make every effort to notify you before you arrive at the office so you may reschedule. If you have an emergency, we will make every effort to see you at the earliest possible time.
Please schedule your elective appointments several weeks in advance, and strive to arrive at your appointment 15 minutes early. During this “pre-visit” time, we may have questions or information for you, which will make your examination time with Dr. Benson more efficient and thorough, and will also leave an adequate amount of time for discussion and questions with the doctor. If you cannot keep your appointment, or if you are going to be late, please call us at (979) 776-1660 as early as possible so we can reschedule your visit and make your time slot available to another patient.
Fees & Insurance
We will expect a copy of your current insurance card to be on file with our office at all times. You are required to inform the office of any changes in your insurance. If you have a change of insurance, we reserve the right to discontinue providing medical care for you in the event we are not a provider for your new insurance and you are unwilling or unable to pay for your medical expenses.
Insurance co-pays and deductibles must be paid at the time services are rendered. You are responsible for knowing your insurance policy. Make certain you are familiar with your benefits, limitations, co-pays and the percentages you are responsible for.
We are happy to file your insurance forms, free of charge, for services provided by Dr. Benson. Remember… YOU are ultimately responsible for any expenses your insurance does not cover, for services provided by Dr. Benson.
We are available to meet with you regarding estimates for services you may need. Financial arrangements for major, extensive procedures can be discussed with the office manager. Please schedule this meeting at your earliest convenience.
All cosmetic procedures (in-office liposuction and genital refinement) are NOT covered by insurance.
These procedures require payment, IN FULL, prior to the procedure being performed. We are able to offer information regarding a finance company that will lend money to cover the expense of these procedures.
There is a fee, payable in advance, if you request a copy of your medical records, a letter from Dr. Benson, or if you ask him to complete forms for you. There may also be a fee for services rendered over the phone, including, but not limited to, doctor’s advice or having prescriptions called in. These fees are necessary to cover the expense and liability for these services. THESE FEES ARE NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE.
Returned Checks
There will be a $25.00 service charge for all returned checks. This must be paid with cash, credit card or money order.
